Didj-Fi Cartridges

The Didj-Fi (pronounced digi-fi) is a set of cartridges with WiFi for Leapfrog devices. The design is open hardware and open source. You can find the source repository here.

Didj-Fi

  • ESP-12F module
  • CH340E USB UART
  • USB Micro B connector
  • 3-position switch for boot mode

Boot mode switch:

Direction mode
Counter-clockwiseUART
Center Device default
Clockwise None (RAM)


Note: For the Leapster Explorer and LeapPad Explorer 1 you must make some modifications to the device for UART boot to work.

Didj-Fi NAND

  • ESP-12F module
  • Large block NAND
  • 4-pin serial header
  • Solder jumpers for boot mode
